The "Lushan Friendship Award" (Lúshan youyì jiang) is the highest honor awarded by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government to foreign experts working in the province, and is for foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to the economic and social development of Jiangxi Province. It was first established in 1990. Up to now, 330 foreign experts have won the "Lushan Friendship Award." The winners of the award are mostly from the United States, the European Union, and Japan, with a minority given to citizens of other nations.
