Front view of a building; THE HOUSE OF COMMONS FROM THE THAMES BUILT 1552 around / A cap of liberty atop a pole, a coronet halfway down the pole over a corncopia and a palm branch; PEACE LIBERTY AND PLENTY 1797 around. Edge: I PROMISE TO PAY ON DEMAND THE BEARER ONE PENNY. Uncirculated; lightly toned over almost prooflike surfaces; a slight spot at the "A" of THAMES on the obverse; early die failure evident in the reverse field (with NGC MS 63 BN tag).
