The god of the Danube destroying a bridge of boats; a cannon left and standards right and left topped by the French eagle; DANVVIVS PONTEM INDIGNATAVS around above; PROELIVM AD ESLINGAM XXII MAII MDCCCIX in exegue / Troops marching left across a bridge, Victory flying above; ITERVM IBIDEM around above; TRAIECTVS V. IVLII MDCCCIX in exergue. Bramsen 859. FDC; small spot on cannon wheel on obverse and in reverse exergue; slight dark spots in reverse field. Beautiful chocolate brown patina with golden iridescence.
