BCD Peloponnesos 533. Extremely Fine; flatly struck on the high points; fine style; cabinet toning with iridescent highlights. Exceptional condition for issue. Rare.

Ex BCD with photos and tag.

BCD suggested that the elaborate, diadem-like wreath on the reverse was a reference to Agrippa's naval victory over the forces of Antony and Cleopatra. This issue was probably struck late in 31 B.C., after Octavian's forces had taken Patrai from Antony and Cleopatra.
