PISIDIA. Antiochia. Caracalla, 198-217. (Bronze, 33 mm, 27.97 g, 5 h). IMP CAES M AVR ANTONINVS AVG Laureate head of Caracalla to right. Rev. VIRT AVG COL ANTIOCH / SR Caracalla on horseback to right; thrusting a javelin, held in his upraised right hand, at a kneeling enemy below. SNG BN 1138. Beautifully struck from very well-made dies: with a fine portrait, a reverse in high relief and a lovely light green patina. Pierced for suspension in antiquity, and with encrustations as found, otherwise, about extremely fine.
