Alexius I Comnenus. 1081-1118. AV Hyperpyron (31mm, 4.39 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. Struck 1092/3-1118. Christ Pantokrator seated facing on throne, raising hand in benediction, barred IC XC across upper field / Alexius standing facing, holding labarum with pellet on shaft and globus cruciger, being crowned by manus Dei, exaggerated jewelling in chlamys. DOC 20g; SB 1913. Light graffito in margin on obverse, scratch in margin on reverse. EF.
