Hemidrachm circa 460-440, AR 2.96 g. Thessalos, with petasus, advancing r. and holding the head of the forepart of a bull moving r. Rev. ΦΑ – R – ΚΑ retrograde Forepart of bridled horse r.; downwards across torso, trident. All within incuse square. McClean 4672 and pl. 175, 7. BCD Thessaly 1266 (this coin).
Rare and the earliest issue of the type. Wonderful old cabinet tone and good very fine
