IONIA, Ephesos. Circa 180-67 BC. AR Tetradrachm (29mm, 12.69 g, 1h). Cistophoric type. Dated RY 2 of Attalos III of Pergamon (138/7 BC). Cista mystica with serpent within ivy wreath / Two serpents entwined around bow and bowcase; B (date) to upper right, EΦE to left; to right, bust of Artemis Ephesia facing. Kleiner & Noe Series 36 (dies 51/j); SNG von Aulock 1858; DCA 318 (same obv. die as illustration). Slightly off center on reverse. Near EF.
