YUEH-CHI. Pabes, mid-late 1st century BC. Obol (Silver, 10 mm, 0.47 g, 11 h), Sogdiana. Draped bust of Pabes to right, wearing crested Macedonian helmet adorned with bull's horn and ear. Rev. ΠΑΒΗC / ΠΑΒΗC Herakles standing facing, placing his right hand on club set on ground and holding lion's skin in his left. HGC 12, 518. Very rare and nicely toned. Very fine.
