ISLANDS OFF IONIA, Chios. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Triassarion (Bronze, 30 mm, 11.15 g, 6 h), Eirenaios, archon, mid 3rd century AD. ΑCAPIA (sic!) TPIA Sphinx seated left, placing right forepaw on prow to left. Rev. ЄΠΙ ΑΡΧ ЄΙΡΗΝΑΙΟΥ / ΧΙΩΝ Apollo, holding phiale in his right hand, and Dionysos, holding kantharos in his right hand and thyrsos in his left, standing front; between them, altar. Mavrogordato 125. Somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.
