ASIA MINOR. Uncertain. 2nd-3rd centuries. Tessera (Lead, 16 mm, 2.68 g, 6 h). Hermes standing right, holding caduceus in his right hand over his right shoulder and purse in his left; in upper right field, monogram; all in triangular border of pearls. Rev. Combined caduceus and anchor topped by a P-shape; in upper left field, ram's head; in upper right field, turtle (?); all in triangular border of pearls. Apparently unpublished. A remarkable and unconventional triangular design. Very fine.
