Valentinian I (?), 364-375. 'Follis' (Lead, 14 mm, 2.37 g, 7 h), imitative or emergency issue, copying Arelate or Constantinopolis. ...EN... Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust to right. Rev. GLORIA ROMANORVM / CONS... Emperor advancing right, dragging captive with his right hand and holding labarum with his left. Cf. RIC IX, 7 (Arelate) and 16, 41 (Constantinopolis). A very rare Roman imperial lead issue. Rough surfaces, otherwise, fine.
From a collection of lead tesserae from Asia Minor.
The letters EN are still readable in the obverse legend, which would allow an attribution to Valentinian I or Valens.
