Valentinian I (?), 364-375. 'Follis' (Lead, 13 mm, 1.15 g, 5 h), imitative or emergency issue, copying Antioch (?). Laureate, draped and cuirassed imperial bust to right. Rev. GLOR[IA ROMA]NORV / ANTI Emperor advancing right, dragging captive with his right hand and holding labarum with his left. Cf. RIC 10 (Antioch). Minor striking weakness, otherwise, very fine.
From a collection of lead tesserae from Asia Minor.
The prototype was minted in the names of Valentinian I, Valens and Gratian. The letters in the exergue of the reverse would suggest a prototype from Antioch.
