Augustus, 27 BC-AD 14. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.76 g, 11 h), uncertain mint in Spain (Colonia Caesaraugusta?), circa 19-18 BC. CAESAR AVGVSTVS Bare head of Augustus to right. Rev. Round shield inscribed S•P•Q•R / CL•V in two lines. BMC 334. Cohen 294. RIC 42a. Beautifully toned and with a superb portrait. Light scratch on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
