Honorius, with Theodosius II, 395-423. Weight of 1.5 Nomismata (Bronze, 18x20 mm, 6.75 g, 6 h). Crowned, diademed and draped facing busts of Honorius, on the left, and Theodosius II, on the right; between them above, a cross; all incuse. Rev. Moneta kneeling left, holding scales in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left; to upper left, star; all incuse. A very rare and unusual piece. Rough surfaces, otherwise, very fine.


The types of this unusual weight are derived from contemporary exagia solidi (see Leu 7 (2020), 2013), but here all details are incuse and the weight indicates that it was used as a weight of 1.5 nomismata.
