Kyprianos, city prefect of 'Rome' (= Constantinopolis), circa 6th century. Weight of 1 Nomisma (Glass, 26 mm, 4.00 g). Box monogram of KVΠPIANOV within circular inscription ...ЄΠAPXOV POMHC. Rev. Blank. Apparently unpublished. Minor surface roughness, otherwise, very fine.
The beginning of this circular legend is unclear. Perhaps the epithet 'endoxou' ('the esteemed') or something similar was included. 'Rome' here refers to Constantinopolis, the new Rome.
