Eugenios, circa 550-650. Seal (Lead, 17 mm, 4.20 g). Bearded head (of Saint Paul?) to left, flanked by crosses, all in wreath. Rev. Block monogram of EVΓENIOV. Unpublished in the standard references. Some breakage at the edges, otherwise, good very fine.
Some seals of the 6th and 7th centuries show a very similar depiction of St. Paul as part of a double portrait with St. Peter (see Zacos/Veglery 1261-1271, 2967-2969).
