Konstantinos Theodorokanos, 2nd half of 11th century. Seal (Lead, 21 mm, 10.81 g, 12 h). +ΘKЄ / ROHΘЄI / TⲰ CⲰ Δ૪/ΛⲰ in four lines ("Mother of God, help your servant"). Rev. KⲰN / TⲰ ΘЄO/ΔⲰPOKA/NⲰ in four lines. Laurent, Orghidan 471. Jordanov, Corpus II 229-236. Some flan faults, otherwise, good very fine.

A person named Konstantinos Theodorokanos is mentioned in narrative sources as a rival of Nikephoros Bryennios. He was captured, but contrary to his expectations he was not harmed by his captors and was instead exiled to Macedonia, where he died soon thereafter. Next to this seal type, containing just his name, there are seals mentioning dignities that allow us to reconstruct his career. He started as a patrikios in the 1050s and 1060s before becoming an anthypatos patrikios in the 1060s, finishing his career as a proedros in the 1070s and dying in circa 1078.
