Bezant (Gold, 22 mm, 3.75 g, 1 h), imitating a dinar of the Fatimid caliphal-Amir bi-Ahkam Allah (AH 495-524 = AD 1101-1130). Crude second phase imitation, issued between 1150 and the fall of Jerusalem after the battle of the Horns of Hattin in 1187. Pseudo-Kufic legend in inner field and outer margins. Rev.
