Nearly Complete Set of Svoronos's Journal
Svoronos, Joannes N. [editor]. JOURNAL INTERNATIONAL D'ARCHÉOLOGIE NUMISMATIQUE. Tome 1–3, 5–21 (Athens, 1898–1927). A nearly complete set, lacking only the following: Tome 4; Parts 1 & 2 of Tome 7; Parts 1 & 2 of Tome 8; and the first 32 pages of Tome 11. 4to [size varies slightly], original printed paper covers. Half or so of the volumes present have bindings that are failing. Tome 21 is damp-stained. Most volumes very good. A nearly complete set of this important journal, rarely offered complete. An indispensable storehouse of information, particularly on ancient Greek coins, featuring thousands of pages of text and hundreds of fine plates. The volumes, while well-printed and with excellent plates, were insubstantially bound, resulting in a poor survival rate. Many important articles first appeared in this publication.
