Vives y Escudero, Antonio. LA MONEDA HISPÁNICA. Madrid: Real Academia de la Historia, 1924–1926. Two volumes: text and plate portfolio. Small 4to, contemporary matching red half calf, gilt; spines with five raised bands, ruled and lettered in gilt. (4), cxcvi, (4), 74, (2) + 200 + 135, (1) + 148 + (2), 13, (1) pages; text illustrations; 173 fine plates of coins. Bindings rubbed and a bit worn, with a spring signature or two; plates housed loose, as issued, in matching portfolio. Very good. A scarce and important work on the Celtic coins of the Iberian peninsula. The plates are of far better quality than those found in the reprint. Clain-Stefanelli 5095*. Daehn 2165. Grierson 99.
