Well-preserved copies of these very scarce catalogues. While the two plates in the Hess catalogue are devoted to the enormous and important collection of personal medals offered in the sale, it is the offering of material from the French Revolution and Napoleonic era (pages 36–74, lots 1110–1694) that earned its place in the Margolis Library. The Helbing catalogue features 16 excellent plates, including two devoted to ancient coins. Spring 290 (the earliest Helbing sale listed by Spring). Ex Richard E. Margolis Library.
