Kende Galleries. BESPALOF COLLECTION OF RUSSIAN COINS. THE MOST IMPORTANT RUSSIAN COLLECTION EVER OFFERED IN AMERICA CONSISTING OF RARE GOLD, SILVER AND COPPER COINS. PART 1: COINS FROM 1462–1801. New York: Gimbel Brothers, March 18, 1944. 8vo, original printed card covers. 17 pages; 225 lots; 5 plates of coins. Hand-priced in pencil, with some coded annotations. Very good. An important sale of Russian coins that is usually encountered in poor condition when a copy can be found at all. Apparently a sales room copy, featuring bids entered in code as well as the prices realized. A similar copy sold in our sale of the Quentin Archer Library for $750 plus the premium. Very scarce, especially priced.
