Brugis Flandrorum: Typis Petri van Pee, undated. Title with woodcut printer's device; (2), 298, (2) pages; woodcut headpiece and initial. Three works bound in one volume. Folio [31 by 21 cm], full contemporary vellum; both sides embossed with central decorative deive; spine with seven raised bands, lettered in in; all paper edges speckled red. Final work browned with some evidence of damp-staining; the two illustrated sigillographic works are mostly bright and clean, with only occasional spotting or browning. Vellum somewhat darkened, particularly at spine. Near fine. Olivarius Vredius (1596–1652), also known as Uredius, or Olivier de Wree, was a jurist and poëte brugeois, well-known for his deep involvement in archeology, history, and numismatics. His work on the seals of the counts of Flanders is a most handsomely produced work and is quite rare. As Engel and Serrure observe, it also includes information on the coins. Brunet 25079.
