An important sale featuring rare European coins and the notable Bridgman collection of United States silver dollars. The first plate depicts gold ancient Greek and Roman coins, an octagonal 1852 $50 slug, an 1849 Mormon $5, and various foreign gold rarities; the second and third plates mainly illustrate rare silver European coins; and the final plate depicts the obverses of twelve of Bridgman's silver dollars.
