Venn, Theodore J. LARGE UNITED STATES CENTS. A MONOGRAPH ON THE BIG COPPER "PENNIES" COINED BY THE U.S. GOVERNMENT FROM 1793 TO 1857. Chicago: published by the author, 1915. 8vo, original card covers decoratively tied at the spine as issued. 31, (1) pages. Very good or better. The first edition; one of only 300 copies issued. Of these, according to a 1931 letter from Venn to Michael Powills: "150 were distributed gratuitously to public libraries and book reviewers. Publication price was $1 per copy and the edition was exhausted by 1916." Ex Roger Persichilli Library.
