Nicely Preserved Fifth Edition Red Book
Yeoman, R.S. A GUIDE BOOK OF UNITED STATES COINS. 5th (1952–1953) edition. Racine: Whitman, 1951. 12mo, original red cloth, gilt. 254, (2) pages; text illustrations. Strong gilt on front cover and mostly bright on spine; a very small damp stain is seen on the fore-edge of the front cover, lightly reddening the page edges. Else near fine. The fifth edition is generally regarded as being the second toughest to obtain, and is rarely seen in fine condition. The damp-stain mentioned is minor, and is the only real flaw in what is otherwise a fine copy with sharp corners.
