Republic (1830 - ). Quito. 1 year type. A great rarity of all Latin America defined in Calico as "Rarissima" (extremly rare).
2 varieties exist for this coin. One with flagpoles appearing below arms (KM-30) and the even rarer variety -this one- without the flagpoles (KM-31).
This one-year type is also a one-year design. Obv: Simon Bolivar's - The Liberator - head facing left. Date below. : Condor standing on coat of arm dividing value and flags behind. The reverse design is close to the 1844's one but much more detailed on the 1845.
This coin is very difficult to find on the open market in all conditions. It was a common circulating coin so it make sense to find them in various conditions.
