USA. The half eagle 1890-CC in CAC MS63
Metal: Gold (0.900). Weight: 8.36 grams. Diametre: 21.6 mm.
In the 90's half eagles were produced in Carson City from 1890 to 1893. Mintage was much higher those years than in the previous years.
The 1890 had a mintage of 53,800 pieces.
However only about 200 of them are considered to survive in mint state and about the half (including this one) in MS63 or higher.
This is a good opportunity to access a Carson City half eagle in mint state.
