ABBASID: al-Muqtadir, 908-932, AV dinar (3.30g), Mah al-Basra, AH318, A-245.2, abbreviated name as mardij below reverse. Previously unpublished; five specimens were found in this hoard, some typical weakness for this mint, nice VF to EF, RRR. This type may also be considered Ziyarid, as Mardawij began his conquest of the region around Hamadan, Dinawar (=Mah al-Kufa) and Nihawand (=Mah al-Basra). Unpublished before the recent AH323 hoard, which contained about 5-10 pieces of this mind/date combination.
