BARAKZAI: Sher 'Ali, 1863-1879, AV tilla, Kabul, AH1294, A-3164, KM-524, superb bold strike, with absolutely no weakness whatsoever, ANACS graded MS63, RR. Obverse bears the name amir shir 'ali, surrounded by the Sunni kalima, the reverse has the mint, mint epithet & date. The denomination is also known as a toman, as it usually bears the same weight as the contemporary Iranian gold coin of Nasir al-Din Shah (about 3.4g).Coins in slabs cannot be weighed!
