MUGHAL: Akbar I, 1556-1605, AR square rupee (11.31g), [Katak], AH978, KM-82.4, Liddle-S11, date is engraver's typo for AH987, as the square rupee was not introduced unil AH986, 2 small testmarks, bold strike, EF, RRR. The Katak mint is identified by the tree-link symbol that rises from the "D" in the name of the Prophet Muhammad on the reverse, also clear in the specimen illustrated by Liddle, which is correctly dated AH987.
