Napoleone Bonaparte, wedding in Paris with Marie-Louise.
Medal 1810, opus: Andrieu e Galle. AU (g 2,9; mm 15). Heads necked of Napoleone and Maria Luisa turned to the right, below the neck: ANDRIEU F. Rv. NAPOLEON EMP ET ROI – M. LOUISE D'AUTRICHE, Napoleone dressed as Roman Emperor, and Maria Luisa front, holding hands over an altar with a fire, at the base of the altar: GALLE F, in exergue:1810. Bramsen 956; T.N. 39,6.
Rare and symbolic medal, traces of removed loop for sospension, very fine – extremely fine. Of this medal four different modules have been coined, coined for the royal wedding of April 2, 1810. The largest were given away (both in gold and silver) to the guests at the ceremony, the smallest were instead thrown to the people.
