Token 1814, opus: Desnoyers. AR (g 11,9; mm 33). Arcade of the temple with four columns, is to the left a scepter, right there is a winged caduceus, in exergue: 1814 and under the bar: DESNOYERS F. Rv. Within: PRÉFECTURE DU DÉPARTEMENT DE LA SEINE, under GRANDE VOIRIE, in three rows VILLE DE PARIS, under a base with compass. Bramsen 1547; T.N. 61,10; Julius 3217.

Instead of the alphabet, the Masonic calendar is still used in a diffuse way, at the entire Universal Masonry. Many seals of the Grand Orients, including the Grand Orient of Italy, showing a date of foundation that does not match of the current one. To distinguish them, the Freemasons use of acronyms, a sort of abbreviated code, so after the common historical date, to be clear the year after Christ (AD), or "Post Cristumnatum" is identified by "EV", which was ERA VOLGARE while the Masonic year is defined as "VL" or the True Light (VERA LUCE), or (less frequently) "EM", that was Masonic Age. The date of V.L. is superior to that of E. V. exactly 4000 years, the Masonic year begins on March 1.; ;
