Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 17.22 g, 1 h), struck under Philip III, Amphipolis, circa 320-317. Head of youthful Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated to left on backless throne, holding eagle with closed wings on his outstretched right hand and long scepter in his left; in left field, grain ear; below throne, Π.
