Quarter shekel or drachm, circa 450–400 BC, AR 3.33 g. Female head r., oriental hairstyle with bunched hair in the back. Rev. Forepart of a horse r. with forelegs stretched forwards; the forelocks of the horse are tied with a ribbon. In upper l. field traces of the letters Zayin 'Ayin. All within dotted frame set in incuse square. Gitler and Tal 2006, VI. Gaza 2D.
Very rare, only two published specimens. Old cabinet tone and good very fine
