ANGLO-SAXON, Secondary Sceattas. Circa 710-750. AR Sceatt (13mm, 0.97 g, 9h). Series R3. Mint in East Anglia (Ipswich?). Radiate bust right, of crude style; Λ flanked by annulets to left; runic EPA to right / 'Standard' with central annulet, chevrons in upper corners, diagonal lines in lower; crosses at sides, Ts at corners. Abramson 11-40; MEC 8 Series RSa; North 157; SCBC 813. Toned, deposits, some porosity, surfaces cracks. Good VF.
