M. Vargunteius. AE Quadrans, 130 BC. Obv. Head of Hercules right, wearing lion's skin; three pellets behind. Rev. Prow right; [M] VARVG (sic) above; three pellets before, ROMA below. Cr. 257/4. AE. 1.90 g. 15.50 mm. RR. Very rare and apparently unpublished. Nice reddish brown and turquoise patina. VF. ���

Light weight and engraver's mistake on reverse (VARVG instead of VARGV). Possibly an unofficial issue.
