Greek Italy. Bruttium, Kaulonia. AR Nomos, circa 525-500 BC. Obv. ΚΑVΛ. Apollo, nude, walking right, holding laurel branch in upright right hand; small daimon, holding branch in each hand, running right on Apollo's extended left arm; to right, stag standing right, head reverted. Rev. Incuse of obverse, but branch and daimon in raised outline and no ethnic. HN Italy 2035; Noe, Caulonia 23. AR. 6.01 g. 30.00 mm. R. A superb example, in excellent condition for this prestigious issue. Broad flan, from well detailed die and prettily toned. Good VF. ���
