PERSIA, Qajar, Naser al din Shah (1848-1896 AD), Civic Copper (8.52 gm; 23 mm). Imperial symbol of "lion and Sun" walking left, value "50 dinar" below lion, reverse; Zarbe Dar Al-Khalafat-e Tehran, (minted in the capital of (Islamic) Khalifate Tehran. Qajars extensively challenged the Ottoman Empires claim to be the sole ruler of Islamic World by this phrase that was used extensively in the first half of the Qajar dynasty's reign.
