People's Republic 5-Piece Certified gold Proof "Inventions & Discoveries" 50 Yuan (1/2 oz) Set 1995 PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC, Shenyang mint, KM740-744, Cheng-pg. 172, 1-5, CC-696-700. Despite a proposed mintage of 1,200 pieces each for Series IV, the actual mintage numbers appear to vary between 373-383 pieces for each design. This complete set is the first we have offered since 2013, with almost no full sets coming to market in that time. Each coin is virtually flawless and fully deserving of its Ultra Cameo superlative, the jet-black mirrors decorated with dramatically frosted motifs, depicting "Porcelain Crafting," "Individual Block Printing," "Wei Qi," "Acupuncture," and "Cannon & Gunpowder." Accompanied by the original case of issue and COAs numbered 27 (Printing), 72 (Porcelain), 88 (Acupuncture), 93 (Gunpowder), and 108 (Chess).
