cf. Pudd-849.2.2 (silver and bronze) Diameter: 44mm; Weight: 41.82 gms. By B. Wyon. Obverse: bare head left; Reverse: Garnished coat-of-arms, with two smaller crowns above. Edge: Plain. Highly prooflike and exceedingly brilliant, this VERY RARE specimen--unlisted in Puddester in white metal--presents high relief and only scattered hairlines in the fields, a typical feature for this metal.

As Sir James Burnes was involved in freemasonry in India, the Grant Medical College later became funded by the Masonic Lodge of Western India--adding a masonic flair to this medal as well.
