Obverse: Bust of Nobel left; Reverse: INVENTAS VITAM IUVAT EXCOLUISSE PER ARTES (and they who bettered life on earth by their newly found mastery), basin and serpent-entwined staff of Aeculapius; wreath behind. A few lightly scattered marks are noted, but this charming gold issue still retains great brilliance and some burnished hints of toning accentuating the devices.
