Alupas of Alvakheda (BC 200-450 CE), Gold Gadyana, Obv: two vertical fish (Meena lanchana) flanked by poorna kumbha and a pedestal lamp, a parasol above and a lotus below, Rev: the Nagari legend "Sri Pandya Dhanajaya" in three lines with interlinear rules, 3.58g, 13.06mm, (Unpublished), about extremely fine, Extremely Rare.

Note: The Two Fishes "the Meena lanchhana", was the dynastic emblem of the Alupas or Alvas, who ruled present-day Mangalore and Udupi districts of the state Karnataka and the Kasaragod district of the state Kerala for nearly 1000 years. They ruled the Alvakheda region independently in the beginning (200 BC to 450 CE).
