BYZANTINE EMPIRE: Anonymous, AR One-Scipulum (?), c AD 530, NGC Ch XF, NGC # 4882149-003. Time of Justinian I. Approximately 14mm. Obverse: Helmeted bust of Constantinopolis right in military garb and helmet with plume. Reverse: Letter K. This coin apparently struck to celibrate the bicentennial of the founding of the City of Constantine, Constantinople. This, an excellent example with great metal, and wonderful strike.
