BYZANTINE EMPIRE: Anonymous Follis, Class A1, AD 969-976 (26mm, 7.9g). Obverse: Facing bust of Christ, wearing nimbus cruciger, two pelllets in each limb of cross, pallium and colbium, Gospels in both hands, to left IC, to right XC; +EMMANOVHL. Reverse: +IhSuS/XRISTuS/bASILEu/bASILE (Jesus Christ king of Kings). This lighter, thinner A Class variety is often overstruck and hard to find this nice. EF
