BYZANTINE EMPIRE: Manuel I Comnenus, BI Aspron Trachy, AD 1143-1180 (29mm, 4.4g). Constantinople mint. Obverse: Christ Pantokrator enthroned facing. Reverse: Manuel standing facing, holding labarum and globus cruciger, being crowned by Theotokos. DOC13c; SB1966. Unusually complete detail with some hard green encrustations. EF.
