SCOTLAND: 1840 Dr. Stuart, Glasgow Farthing/Token, Scarce if not rare. Obverse: Two seated male figures, one taking the other's pulse. Lettering around- PRIVATE MEDICAL ESTABLISHMENT, date in exergue. Reverse: Medicine bottle with writing, PANACEA, on it. Dr. John Knox Stuart was a qualified medical practitioner who advertised his services extensively and died on 19th August 1854. Excellent example. EF.
