James I (1603-1625), Third Coinage, Halfcrown, 1624, Tower, King on horseback right, ground line below, reads FR : ET HI : rev. no stops on reverse, square-topped and garnished shield, 12.90g, 3h, m.m. trefoil (North 2122; Spink 2666), some central softness, otherwise struck details proud and accentuated with a hint of residual toning, a bolder fine / near very fine, an interesting obverse legend variant.
