Charles I (1625-1649), Group A, Crown, 1625, Type 1A, Tower (under King), King on horseback left, plume on head dress and atop caparison, no ground line, stops flank m.m., rev. square-topped and garnished shield over cross fourchée, 29.97g, 8h, m.m. lis (Hawkins 1a; Francis 1a; FRC II/I; Brooker 231 same dies; Miller 8 same dies; North 2190; Spink 2753), faint metal stressing to periphery, otherwise rich cabinet tone, a pleasing very fine, scarce.
